It must be said that everyone who attended the NJ-SCBWI annual conference was a winner. We all won precious up-close-and-personal time with industry professionals, invaluable knowledge about both the craft and business of writing for children, and the opportunity to see our work through the eyes of other talented writers and illustrators. But a few won even more.
While I know that a boatload of you conference attendees were using thescavenger hunt as an ice-breaker and as motivation to step outside your shy and modest ways, only a few of you commented on the blog with your point totals. To you marvelous few, I say thank you! Please e-mail me with your mailing address so I can get your prizes to you!
1st Prize:
a copy of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Publishing Children’s Books – and a sparkly tiara, because she earned it, goes to Paula Cohen Martin, with 690 points!
2nd prize:
a copy of Aaron Shepard’s The Business of Writing for Children goes to Kimberly Marcus, with 370 points!
3rd prize:
The Children’s Writer’s Word Book goes to Darlene Beck-Jacobsen, with 210 points!
Thanks for playing – and look out for next year!
